IN issuing the Fifth Edition of this little Work, I cannot help expressing a sincere feeling of thankfulness that I am enabled, by the continued demand for the book, to feel justified in laying it again before the Christian Church. I have not found it necessary to alter the substance of any prophetical interpretation which the former Editions advanced. The matter of the book and the arrangement of the subjects are the same. The few alterations in this Edition are only such as the progress of events, during the seventeen years which have elapsed since the first Edition was published, has rendered necessary for the better comprehension of those who read from the standpoint of 1880 the pages which were written in 1863.
