33 And Mofes faid unto Aaron, Take a Pot, and put an Omer full of MANNA therein, and lay it up before the LORD, to be kept for your Generations.

34 As the LORD commanded Mofes, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.

35 And the Children of Ifrael did eat MANNA FORTY Years, until they came to a Land inhabited: they did eat Manna, until they came unto the Borders of the Land of Canaan.

Ver. A

ND all the Congregation of the Children of Ifrael journeyed from the Wilderness of Sin, after their Journeys, according to the Commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no WATER for the People to drink.

2 Wherefore the People did chide with Mofes, and faid, Give us Water that we may drink. And Mofes faid unto them, Why chide you with me? Wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?

3 And the People thirsted there for Water; and the People† MURMURED against Mofes, and faid, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our Children, and our Cattle with Thirit?

4 And Mofes cried unto the LORD, faying, What shall I do unto this People? they be almost ready to stone me.

5 And the LORD faid unto Mofes, Go on before the People, and take with thee of the Elders of Ifrael: and thy ROD wherewith thou finoteft the River, take in thine Hand, and go.

6 8 Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the Rock in Horeb, and thou shalt smite the Rock, and there shall come WATER out of it, that the People may drink. And Mofes did fo in

9 And Mofes faid unto Joshua, Chuse us out Men, and go out, fight with Amalek: To-morrow I will stand on the Top of the Hill, with the ROD OF GOD in mine Hand.

10 So Joshua did as MoSES had faid to him, and fought with Amalek: and Mofes, Aaron, and Hur, went up to the Top of the Hill.

N the third Month, when the Children of Ifrael were gone forth out of the Land of Egypt, the

fame Day came they into the Wilderness of Sinai.

2 For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the Defart of Sinai, and had pitched in the Wilderness, and there Ifrael camped before the Mount.

3 And Mofes went up unto God, and the Lord called unto him out of the Mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say unto the House of Jacob, and tell the Children of Ifrael;

4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I BARE you on EAGLE's Wings, and brought you unto myfelf.

5 i Now therefore, if ye will obey my Voice indeed, and keep my COVENANT, then ye shall be a PECULIAR TREASURE unto me above all People: for all the Earth is mine.

Ifa. xliii. Now thus faith the Lorp that created thee, O JACOB, and he that formed thee, O ISRAEL, Fear not: for 1 have REDEEMED thee, I have CALLED thee by thy Name,

thou art MINE.

2 When thou passest through the WATERS, I WILL be WITH THEE; and through the Rivers they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest

through the FIRE, thou shalt not be burnt; neither shall the Flame kindle upon thee.

3 For I am the Lord thy God, the HOLY ONE of Ifrael, thy SAVIOUR. Ifa. xli. 8 But thou Ifrael art my Servant, Jacob whom I have chofen, the Seed of ABRAHAM my Friend.

9 Thou whom I have TAKEN from the Ends of the Earth, and called thee from the chief Ends thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my SERVANT, I have CHOSEN thee, and not cast thee away.

1 John iii. I Behold what manner of Love the FATHER hath BESTOWED upon us, that we should be CALLED the Sons of God: therefore the World knoweth us not, because it KNEW him not.

2 Now are we the Sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know, that when he shall APPEAR, we shall be LIKE him, for we shall see him as he is.

14 In whom we have REDEMPTION through his BLOOD, even the FORGIVENESS OF SINS.

6 And ye shall be unto me a Kingdom of PRIESTS, and an HOLY NATION. These are the Words which thou shalt speak unto the Children of Ifrael.

7 And MOSES came and called for the Elders of the People, and laid before their Faces all these Words which the LORD Commanded him.

8 And all the People answered together, and faid, All that the LORD hath spoken, we will do. And Mofes returned the Words of the People unto the LORD.

1 Pet ii. 9 Ye are a CHOSEN GENERATION, a ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, an HOLY NATION, a PECULIAR PEOPLE,

that ye should shew forth the PRAISES of him who hath called you out of DARKNESS into his marvellous LIGHT.

10 Which in time past were not a People, but are now the PEOPLE of GoD: which had not obtained MERcr, but now have obtained Mercy.

6 And hath made us KINGS and PRIESTS unto God and his FATHER; to him be GLORY and DOMINION for ever and ever.

9 And the LORD faid unto MOSES, LO, I come unto thee in a thick Cloud, that the People may hear when I speak with thee, and BELIEVE thee for ever. And MOSES told the Words of the People unto the LORD.

10 And the LORD said unto MOSES, Go unto the People, and SANCTIFY them To-day and To-morrow, and let them wash their Cloaths,

11 And be ready against the third Day: for the third Day the LORD will come down in the Sight of all the People upon Mount Sinai.

12 And thou shalt set Bounds unto the People round about, faying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the Mount, or touch the Border of it: whosoever TOUCHETH the Mount, shall be surely put to DEATH.

13 There shall not an Hand touch it, but he shall furely be stoned or shot through; whether it be Beast or Man, it shall not LIVE: when the TRUMPET foundeth long, they shall come up to the Mount.

14 And MOSES went down from the Mount unto the People, and SANCTIFIED the People, and they washed their Cloaths.

15 And he faid unto the People, Be ready against the third Day: come not at your Wives.

16 And it came to pass on the third Day in the Morning, that there were THUNDERS and LIGHTNINGS, and a thick CLOUD upon the MOUNT, and the VOICE of the Trumpet EXCEEDING LOUD; so that all the People that was in the Camp TREMBLED.

17 And Mofes brought forth the People out of the Camp to meet with God, and they stood at the nether Part of the Mount.

18 And Mount SINΑΙ was altogether on a SMOKE, because the LORD DESCENDED upon it in FIRE: and the SMOKE thereof afcended as the Smoke of a Furnace, and the whole MOUNT QUAKED greatly.

19 And when the VOICE of the TRUMPET founded long, and waxed louder and louder, MOSES spake, and God answered him by a Voice.

20 And the Lord came down upon Mount SINAI, on the Top of the Mount: and the LORD called Mofes up to the Top of the Mount, and Mofes went up.

21 And the LORD faid unto Mofes, Godown, charge the People, left they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perifh.

22 And let the PRIESTS alfo which come near to the LORD, SANCTIFY themselves, left the LORD break forth upon them.
