"No. I'm in church an hour on Sunday morning and listen. The preacher is there, too, an hour, and speaks. Both of us lose our time and we quit even." "You pay something then for Home Missions ?" "No, of course not. We have an open church, an open Bible and a free Gospel. What's the use paying people to be good in a Christian country?" "You give then for Foreign Missions, where there are no open church and open Bible and free Gospel?" "Not a bit of it. We've more heathens at home than we can take care of and pay for." Mr. Bryan put the question in other words and more directly when he said: "I find that those who give most generously to the missions. abroad are the most interested in missions at home, and those who decry the work of the church abroad are the ones who give nothing to the church at home." "Home, Sweet Home; Be It Ever So Humble, There's No Place Like Home" Why humble? That thought, although very sweet and tender, does not follow after you've paid us a visit. We've made homes, and they were not humble, either, for people with less income than yours. We've made cosy, comfortable homes for people who don't earn over $10 a week and we've made homes for people who earn as high as $5,000 a year. All these were created on the open monthly account plan. That is to say, we permit you to Pay In Small Amounts Each Month and look out for your interests in case of illness, accident or misfortune. All contingencies are provided for. You have no risks to run and nothing to worry about. Ours is the most appealing proposition ever advanced by a furniture house, because it builds a home for you which many couldn't possibly get if they were obliged to pay all cash. Our system of easy payments is the great universal necessity. Any home outfit you select will be delivered for you within 48 hours. Homes Furnished Complete for $122.50.
