Jane Chapman is Reader in Journalism Studies at Lincoln School of Journalism. She has worked extensively in the industry as a television producer (with her own independent production company, Chapman Clarke Films), as an on screen news reporter for national commercial breakfast television (TV-am), a T.V. news senior journalist (Granada T.V.), an assistant producer (BBC Panorama and Newsweek), a news sub editor (HTV) and a staff researcher (Southern T.V.) She has also worked as a magazine freelance (Health & Fitness magazine) and as a BBC Radio 4  freelance reporter (You and Yours). She is author of Comparative Media History (2005) and Documentary in Practice (2nd edition, 2006).

Marie Kinsey is Senior University Teacher and Course Leader for the MA in Broadcast Journalism at Sheffield University and won the 1990 Financial Broadcaster of the Year Wincott Award. She has worked in broadcasting since 1979 with BRMB in Birmingham, Independent Radio News, LBC, Thames Television and the BBC. For 15 years she specialised in business and finance, including posts as Deputy City Editor with IRN and Business Correspondent for BBC radio and television in the south east. She has presented live radio and television programmes and contributed to many networked programmes in both media. Most recently she was an occasional presenter on 'The Financial World Tonight' and `Wake Up to Money´ on BBC Radio Five Live and for the business segments of `Today´ on Radio 4. She is co-editor of A Guide to Independent Radio Journalism (1998).
