Thus if one sheds blood he is considered to have diminished the Divine Image , as it is said WHOEVER SHEDS THE BLOOD OF MAN , BY MAN SHALL HIS BLOOD BE SHED ; FOR IN THE IMAGE OF GOD WAS MAN CREATED ( Gen. 9 : 6 ) .
